Ventilation and smoke exhaust for the Metro 4 line in Budapest

Cegelec is in charge of the ventilation and smoke exhaust systems for the first section of the future Metro 4 underground line in Budapest. This line, to connect southwest Budapest to the north eastern part of the city (Pest), will be completed by 2010 to expand the network of BKV, the local public transport authority. The Cegelec works will be executed on a section with a length of 7.3 km comprising 10 stations.

The Budapest metro system is nothing new to Cegelec. Back in 2004, BKV entrusted the Group with the supply and installation of a new ventilation and fire protection system as part of the renovation of the second metro line, which was completed successfully. Cegelec has an extensive experience in the field of ventilation and tunnel safety systems, with several major references in railway, metro and motorway tunnels.
